A small advertising project for the Haier brand, created to launch their
new line of vacuum cleaners.

I was part of a team assembled specifically for this project and was responsible for building the first two scenes—the vacuum cleaner assembly and its room-scanning function.

Process

I started my process by exporting the CAD model into a format suitable
for animation, then applied materials based on photo references of the disassembled vacuum cleaner provided by the client.

After that, I worked directly on the assembly animation. Once the first scene was approved, I moved on to the second one—here, I needed to think through the transition and the spatial reveal through the scan effect. The main challenge was the limited amount of time allocated for this particular shot. We had only 30 seconds for the entire video, and all scenes were very dynamic, so we couldn’t extend the timing.

Because of this, we stepped away from various experimental approaches and created the scanner using one simple light line and several beams that revealed the interior objects.
